Clift grew up in Izard County, AR.4 He pitched for Rogers in the Arkansas State League in 1935 and with York/Trenton in the 1936 New York-Penn League.
Clift died in March, 1983 in Tulsa, OK.5 He was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK.6
