"Parker D. Rushing, plumbing contractor of Fayetteville, died Friday evening at his office. He was born Nov. 16, 1911 at Bergman, Ark., the son of Daniel and Jessie Rushing, and operated the Rushing Plumbing Co. here. He was a member of the University Baptist Church and attended the University of Arkansas. He is survivded by the widow, Mrs. Marie Rushing of the home; a son, Parker David Rushing of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Homer J. of Fayetteville; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Rushing of Harrison and one grandson. Funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the University Baptist Church with burial in Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home."6
