Doug Jackson


James Douglas Jackson, born December 26th, 1897 in Antioch, LA,1 was a Negro baseball player and manager with the Butte Colored Giants from 1933-1936.

Jackson was the son of Alma and Lizzie Jackson.2 He lived much of his life in Arkadelphia, AR,3 4 and later moved to Texarkana, AR.2

Jackson died in February, 1977 in Texarkana, AR5 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Texarkana, Arkansas.6
