Thomas Toland

Thomas Edward Toland, born November 18th, 1894 in Mineral Springs, AR1 , was a professional baseball player from 1914-1924. Toland was also a professional manager from 1922-1925. He was a cousin of Jim Greene.


Thomas's brother Joseph was a pitcher signed in 1916 by Oklahoma City2 3 . However, he did not make the club.

Toland's wife Rene Haizlip was a cousin of Ralph Haizlip.

Thomas Toland was later the president of the Greenwood Cotton States League teams. He died on April 18th, 1937 in Greenwood, MS4 and was buried in Ashdown Cemetery in Ashdown, AR.
