Robert Jones

Robert Leo "Fox" Jones, born April 22nd, 1915 in Forrest City, AR,1 was a Negro League baseball player from 1932-1934.

Biography

Jones was the son of Frank Jones and Cornelia (nee Lattimore) Jones Richards. He was born in Forrest City, AR, but moved to East St. Louis, IL by 1930.2

Jones may have played with the Memphis Red Sox in 1933-1934, the Cleveland Red Sox in 1934, and the Brooklyn Brown Dodgers in 1946.3

Jones was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.4 He died on March 10, 19925 and was buried in Sunset Gardens of Memory Millstadt, IL.6
